Viola Elizabeth Hiley

1921 – 2016

MANSFIELD - Viola Hiley, beloved wife and mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2016 surrounded by family at her home in Mansfield, TX. She was born December 29, 1921 in Kintyre, ND to William and Kathrine Goettertz, the youngest of 7 children. She was preceded in death by her parents and her 6 siblings, Agnes, Edward, Christine, Victor, Gladys and Alfred. She graduated from high school in Steele, ND and married Roland Loerch with whom she had 3 daughters, Constance (Connie), Ronna and Cassandra (Sandy). Due to Roland working in construction, they lived in several states over the next 20 years, finally settling in Newhall, CA in 1961. Roland passed away in 1978 and in 1984 she married Colin Edgar Hiley who worked for LTV Aerospace (now Lockheed-Martin) in Grand Prairie, TX. In 1988 they moved to Arlington, TX and in 1997 to Mansfield, TX.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: 11:00 AM Saturday, January 28, 2017 at St. Gregory Anglican Church,

1091 Country Club Drive, Mansfield, Texas 76063. She loved flowers but her family suggests that you donate, in her name, to a charity of your choosing. To know her was to love her.

SURVIVORS: Loving husband of 32 years Colin Hiley; daughters: Connie Loerch and Sandy Whitney of Santa Clarita, CA; Ronna Loerch (Paul DeBruyn) of Everson, WA; grandchildren: Danielle Adamson (Keith) of Menifee, CA; Dawn Loerch of Seattle, WA; Randi Green (Brian) and Roland Harris of Santa Clarita, CA; great-grandchildren: Alexa Ramirez and Jaqueline Adamson of San Diego, CA; Kendra and Megan Adamson, of Menifee, CA; Jennie Green of Arcadia, CA; Tyler Green of Placentia, CA; Justin Green (Jessica) of Rancho Santa Margarita, CA; John Harris of Santa Clarita, CA; great-great-grandchildren: Ryan Messersmith of Menifee, CA; Cayden Green of Rancho Santa Margarita, CA; Braxton Koriner of Arcadia, CA; step-sons: Nigel Hiley (Samantha) and Todd Hiley (Amy) of Denton, TX; step-grandchildren: Jessica, Kasandra, Colten Hiley and Kaedance Fuller of Denton, TX; Natasha Valentiny (Kevin) of Keller, TX; sisters-in-law: Robine Hiley Lindberg (Gunnar Palen) of Västerås, Sweden; Frances Goettertz of Steele, ND; plus numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and dear friends.
