Terry Elton Henderson, age 74, passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2023. He was born on February 19, 1949, in Houston, Texas, to McIntyre and Nina Charlene Henderson. After serving in the Army, Terry settled in Fort Worth. His veteran status led him to serve as Chaplin at the VFW in Azle for 12 years. As a member of St. Anne's in Lake Worth, he loved helping others, was loved and admired by all, and made an impact on the lives of many. He recently became an avid bike rider, enjoyed camping, and encouraged others to do the same. That being said, in everything he did, he did his utmost; and was truly a "jack of all trades." Terry did everything from mechanic work, being in construction, to working on and building computers, putting up radio towers, and being a ham radio operator. Terry's legacy will live on through all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, McIntyre Henderson and Nina Charlene Morris, son Chris Lange, and uncles Clayborn Callahan and Paul Callahan. Terry is survived by his beloved wife, Gayle Brinkhus, daughter Sherri and her husband, Porfirio Mata, Jr., daughter-in-law Kaitlin Lange, sisters Cheryl and her husband, Eddie Apple, and Candice Lester; grandchildren Noah Clements, Camille Eason, Hailey Scott, Madison Lange, Gavin Lange; great-grandchildren Nova Scott and Arlo Clements; uncle James Callahan and his wife, Pat and numerous nieces and nephews. We love him, and he will be missed. May he rest in peace.
The memorial service will be held on August 19, 2023, at St. Anne's Church in Lake Worth at 1:00.
