Sue was born in Arkadelphia, Arkansas on December 19, 1937. She was a graduate of Henderson State College with degrees in English and Home Economics. She started her career as a high school teacher in Jonesboro, Arkansas where she met her husband, Farrell.
Sue and Farrell lived many places with Farrell’s 21-year Air Force career, ending up in Bossier City, Louisiana. Sue then began her 20-year career with the State of Louisiana Disability Office. A few years after Sue’s retirement, they moved to Keller, Texas to be close to children and grandchildren.
Together with her beloved husband, Farrell, of over 64 years, Sue enjoyed traveling to all 50 states, as well as abroad. She was also an avid bridge player, cherishing the friendships made over countless games. Sue was involved in many activities and had many friends that meant so much to her.
Above all, Sue found her greatest joy in her family. She treasured every moment spent at family gatherings, where her presence lit up the room. Whether celebrating holidays or simply enjoying each other’s company, Sue’s love and laughter were the heart of every get-together. She was also known for her culinary talents, sharing her love through dishes that became family favorites.
Sue is survived by her two daughters, Laurie and her husband Jim Juneau, and Leslie and her husband Rob Dompka; 6 grandchildren, Courtney Juneau Baker and her husband, Matt Baker; Caitlin Juneau Allen and her husband Chris Allen; Eric Dompka and his fiancée Ashley Beckler, Emily Dompka Dickey and her husband Nash Dickey, Kevin Dompka and Christopher Dompka; and 4 great grandchildren, Tessa Allen, Caleb “Budman” Allen, Evie Dickey, and Lucas Baker.
A memorial for Sue will be held on February 28th at 11:00 am at Smithfield Methodist in North Richland Hills, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Sue will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all who were fortunate to know her.
