Stan was born June 27, 1944 to Vern Linker and Dorothy Ehlerding Linker in Decatur, Indiana. Stan graduated Monmouth High School, Decatur, Indiana, in 1962. He continued his love for grain and dairy farming along with ten years employment at International Harvester of Fort Wayne Indiana. Stanley earned an Honorable Discharge (March 13, 1970) after serving in the Indiana Army National Guard for a six year enlistment.
His dreams of forever farming ended in 1982 from a back injury. He attended Rhema Bible Training Center in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, 1982 – 1983. Stan then completed his education with a Theology Degree from Christ for the Nations Institute, Dallas, Texas, 1983 - 1984. Stanley remained active in serving the Lord he loved with nursing home, children's Sunday School and busing and home groups ministries in Grapevine and Weatherford Texas.
He continued to work with heavy duty equipment in park development, then over the road trucking. After retirement Stan and Debbie travelled the USA, in a motorhome. Stan always stated, "I've seen our beautiful country at 70 miles per hour, now I want to slow down travel the backroads."
He was an avid airplane enthusiast earning his pilot's license and enjoyed watching all types of aircraft at airshows as well as flying radio-controlled planes. He proudly served in the Army National Guard earning tank and pistol Expert Marksmanship Badges.
Stan married Deborah Zollinger in 1974 and Stan lovingly adopted sons, Jeremy (Jennifer) Linker; children Bryce (Baleigh), Cade and Emma and Chad Linker. They had one son together, Joel (Deanna) Linker; children Jackson and Abigail. Stan has two children, Amy (David) Crow; children Jessica and Kaitlynn of Ft. Wayne, Indiana and Mark (Jill) Linker; children Erica and Mark of Angola, Indiana.
In addition to his wife of 49 years, Deborah and children, Stan is survived by his two sisters, Janeen (Weldon) Schaefer of Decatur Indiana and Lois (Dave) Carver of Indianapolis, Indiana.
He is preceded in death by his son Chad Linker, parents Vern and Dorothy Linker and a brother, Steven Linker.
Stan's favorite hymns he could bello out were, Blessed Assurance Jesus is mine, and As a Deer Paneth for the water. Stan received a total faith healing for his back in 1984. he boldly stood on the scripture of Mark 11:23 and 24.
23 - For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
24 - Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
