Royce Hutcheson Guerry Jr.

Royce Hutcheson Guerry, Jr., 80, died on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at his home in Fort Worth, Texas from cancer. He was under the care of Hospice at that time.

Royce was born on January 24, 1945 in Atlanta, Georgia to Royce Hutcheson Guerry, Sr. (teacher and school administrator) and Winifred (Wheeler) Guerry (elementary school teacher). He attended and graduated from Trimble Tech High School in Fort Worth in 1964. He did attend Gallaudet University (Class of 1969) in Washington, D.C. briefly.

He had several odd jobs in the early years. He was then employed as a federal employee at General

Services Administration (GSA) until he retired in 1998 with 23 years of service.

Survivors: Wife of 47 years, Robbie Talbot (Stanley) Guerry of Fort Worth, Texas; Melinda (Guerry) Hammonds (sister) and Lonnie Hammonds (brother-in-law) of Mountain Home, Arkansas; Mack Harris (brother-in-law) and Sara (Stanley) Harris (sister-in-law) of Arlington, Texas; Dr. Mark Hammonds (only one nephew) of Mountain Home, Arkansas and Rachel Harris (only one niece) of Austin, Texas.

Cremation took place immediately and there will be no funeral service. Private memorial service will be held.
