Ron is survived by his wife of over 57 years. They had three sons, Stephen (Kathy), Michael (Tracey) and Robert (Wendy), eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his father, Curtis Harding, Jr. and his mother, Gertrude Westerfield.
Ronald was born on November 26th, 1945 in Topeka, KS. He graduated from Hayden High School in 1963. In 1965, Ron began his career with the railroad and worked there for over 40 years until he retired in 2005. He also served in the Army Reserves from 1966 to 1972.
For the majority of his life, Ron enjoyed NASCAR, golfing, bowling and collecting antique cars. He also loved fishing with his grandsons and playing games and holding tea parties with his granddaughters. Friends and family will remember him as a generous friend and a warm, loving family man.
Services will be held out of state. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to People Helping People in Granbury, TX.
A celebration of life will be held on April 29th at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Topeka, KS. . Rosary prayers will begin at 9:30 am with Mass to begin at 10 am. Burial will follow services and will be held in Easton, KS.
