Robert Eugene Tussey, age 64, died of a heart attack December 22, 2024. He was born in Albuquerque, NM on October 26, 1960 to Donald Curtis Tussey and Charlotte Loretta Tussey. Robert’s younger years were spent in Louisville, KY before returning back to Albuquerque with his family in 1976. He graduated from Del Norte High School in 1978.
After high school he attended college in Oklahoma. First, Oklahoma Christian University, obtaining a Bachelor's Degree in Health and Physical Education where he was on the National Dean’s List, Honor Roll, and Alpha Chi. He then went on to study at University of Central Oklahoma, where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science.
In 1988, after completing his education, Robert was off to Wichita, KS to work as a Specialist Systems Analyst, Project Leader for Lockheed Martin. In 1997, he moved again, this time to the Dallas/Fort Worth area for a job at Alcon Labs as an Information Systems Specialist eventually becoming a Senior Information Systems Specialist before retiring in 2016 after serving nearly 20 years with the company.
Robert loved to travel. He had a very analytical job that he worked very hard at, so when he did have time off, he made sure to immerse himself completely, never stopping, exploring each location to the fullest. One of his favorite trips was to New York City where he saw the taping of a late night show, visited the top of the Empire State Building, posed for a picture on top of the bull statue on Wall Street and traveled all the way north to Niagara Falls. However, he was equally at home out hiking the trails of the great Northwest. He loved Washington and Oregon and it was his hope to live there one day.
Robert was preceded in death by his father Donald Tussey. He is survived by his mother Charlotte Tussey and his only sister Debbie Trump of Orange County, CA.
He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
