

Robert Tennant Hawkins Jr., age 75, of Trophy Club, Texas passed away peacefully with his family on Saturday, June 11, 2022 due to aggressive Parkinson's Disease complications. Robert was born September 7,1946 in Cleveland, OH. to Robert T. Hawkins Sr. and Marie Allene (Schulte) Hawkins.
"Bob" began his career in Cleveland, Ohio with Fruehauf Corporation, with moves to New York, Pennsylvania, Michigan and eventually to Texas with extensive travel nationwide. His love of the Semi-Trailer industry spanned 50 years including those with Trailmobile and Hyundai Translead. He loved the connections of trucking and it's trade industries, their long and many founding histories, the people and their stories. His enthusiasm and contagious personality brought him success and the warmest and sincere friendships at work and at home. Bob retired in January, 2021.
Robert was married for 37 years to the love of his life, Robin. They shared her son, Daniel and daughter, Michelle, loved and raised them as his own. He was a faithful and devoted father and husband and has left them with so many great memories, enriched by having him in their lives.
Robert is survived by his wife Robin; Son Daniel and his wife Eileen Burrell, Daughter Michelle and her husband Jamie Carmack, Brother and Sister In-laws Larry and Carla Dasho, Sister In-Law Gail Wallner; Grandson’s Jacob, Daniel Jr., Caleb, and Jaiden; along with many nephews, nieces and other faithful friends and family.
Throughout his life Robert made annual donations to a variety of causes and charitable organizations. Donations in his name can be made to the American Parkinson's Disease Association in New York. Donate to APDA and help people with PD live life to the fullest.
A special thank you to Amber, Daisey, Diana, Freda, Miranda and so many wonderful caregivers of Silverado Memory Care in Southlake, TX. Their love and skill helped me to give him exemplary quality end of life passing for 5 months.
A private celebration will take place for family members at a future date.
