Paul Dean Sikes

Paul Dean Sikes, beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend, and “PaPa”, went home to be with the Lord on June 28, 2026, at the age of 88. He leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and laughter.

Born on November 25, 1937, to Noel and Pauline Sikes, Paul grew up with his brothers, Noel Jr. and Neil in Odessa, Texas. He attended Lubbock High School, obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas Tech University, and had a 30-year career with Sears before retiring in 1991.

Paul was the proud father of Paul Dean Sikes Jr., Craig Sikes, and Sharla Newkirk from his first marriage to Edi. He loved each of his children and took pride in the lives they built. In 1982, Paul married Beverly ("MiMi"), and created a close and lasting bond with her children—Kathryn “K'Lee” Riddle, Andrea Collins, and Roland Edward Moore II. After retiring in Florida, Paul and Beverly returned to Texas, living in Rockwall and Killeen before settling in the Fort Worth/Keller area.

Paul’s greatest joy was being "PaPa" to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His smile and sense of humor brought joy to everyone around him. Whether golfing, fishing, or spending time with family, Paul found happiness in everyday blessings. To all who knew him, Paul was "The Man. The Myth. The Legend."

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Noel and Pauline Sikes, and by his brothers, Noel Sikes Jr. and Neil Sikes.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Beverly ("MiMi") Sikes; his children, Paul Dean Sikes Jr. and his wife Lisa, Craig Sikes and his wife Linda, Sharla Newkirk and her husband Bruce, Kathryn “K'Lee” Riddle and her husband David, Andrea Collins and her husband Chris, and Roland Edward Moore II and his wife Alex; his grandchildren Lauren Cochran and her husband Ross, Adam Sikes, Halle Sikes, Tyson Newkirk and his wife Jennifer, Terri Kay Mathews and her husband Luke, Garrett Newkirk, Michael Newkirk, Payton Newkirk, Kami Askew and her husband Keaton, David "DJ" Riddle and his wife Molly, Taylor Wallace and her husband Zachariah, Madison Tamplen and her husband Dylan, Mackenzie Moore, Devon Collins and Dean Collins; and his great-grandchildren: Abigail Cochran, Isaac Cochran, Elise Cochran, Emma Newkirk, Ty Newkirk, Hadley Mathews, Harper Mathews, Violet Newkirk, Liam Newkirk, Katie Newkirk, Cayden Newkirk, Kyler Askew, Kanon Askew, Kamry Askew, David "Dos" Riddle and Jordan Riddle, Anderson Wallace and Warren Wallace.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 28, at 11:00 a.m. at Keller United Methodist Church.
