I love that this was my name for you and mine only. I just can’t believe that you are gone. You will be missed greatly. I loved that I could always count on you, you were my work mother and dearest friend. I looked up to you so much.  I always remember all of our surgeons transferring patients to Patsy’s floor, that is how much everyone looked up to you. I remember you leaving me a couple of ibuprofen tablets folded up in a Kleenex with a cup of water at my desk, bc sometime during my shift I mentioned to you how much my back hurt. You were always there for me. I remember during nursing school, when I wanted to give up, you would pull me into your office and show me your pay stubs to keep me trucking. That always made me laugh. I also remember that I would go into your office to put hairspray on bc you always had a can of aqua net in your wall mirror. I will always miss you calling me Darlin and you placing your hand on your chest as if to say “ please stop talking and what is the bottom line” when the nurses would try telling you what was going on with their patients. I would be watching the whole thing and just laugh. I will always love you My P, but Knowing you are with Tamara gives me so much peace. 
You are one of the best people I had the chance to know and I can’t wait to see you again.

So very sorry for your loss!! I worked with Patsy & she was a top notch charge nurse & an awesome human being.  You are in my thoughts & prayers...

Patsy was the best nurse I ever knew ,she loved  her job and her patients. I remember one day I rode the elevator down with her at lunch, a lady got on the elevator with us , her hair was messed up and I politely asked her if the wind was blowing outside, patsy was short and I was tall  she ribbed-me and later said to me I can t believe you asked that lady that and she laughed,she was always happy

mom, i will miss you more than you will ever know.  you were the best mother a son could have you were my best friend i could talk to you about anything. well you have a front row seat now in heaven and you deserve it........ i will see you again one day and meet all your new friends youve met in heaven. i love you so much mom,take care     

Patsy was more  dedicated to her “floor” than any charge nurse could be. A funny memory is when she asked me to work overtime for the upcoming weekend and I told her I couldn’t because I was going out of town to get married. She said “well if anything changes, let me know”. It took her 3 go-arounds to realize I wasn’t just going out of town. The entire staff was laughing and when it hit her she kept saying “I’m so sorry. Forget I said that.” She was the best! RIP
