Noel George Licker

Noel, a forty-six-year resident of Fort Worth, was born in New York City on April 15, 1947. The US Army brought Noel to Texas in 1966 where he served as a military policeman until 1968. It was this cross-country trek that led him to meet Linda (Jones) the love of his life. They were married in 1969.

Noel was a kind, loving, faithful, and gentle husband and father who always strove for perfection at everything he did. This was the case as well during his successful 31-year career at Xerox Corporation before his retirement in 2003.

Always the devoted family man, Noel is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Linda; a daughter, Jessica Licker Bass; a son, Aaron Licker; three grandchildren Nick, Judah and Delia; a sister, Anne Raizner; a brother, Maurice Licker; a son-in-law, Jacob Bass; two brothers-in-law, Rick Jones and Bill (Jean) Jones and a host of other loving and caring relatives.

A celebration of Noel’s life will be held at Noel and Linda’s home on Sunday, July 15 from 1 to 4 PM to reminisce, grieve, support and share. An interment will take place at a later date at the DFW National Cemetery.

The family would like to offer a special thanks to the staff at the Harris hospital and the infusion nurses at Texas Oncology for their respectful and nurturing care.
