Nelda (Nell) Marie Hall June 17, 1928 February 11, 2017 Nelda (Nell) Tomlinson Hall joined her family and friends in heaven on February 11, 2017. Nell was born to Herk and Maurine Tomlinson in Mead Oklahoma. When Nell’s father received a job with the railroad during WWII they left the farm and moved to Wichita Falls, Texas. She graduated from Wichita Falls High School in 1946. Nell attended Midwestern University. In 1947 she married Ken Hall and started the adventure of being a military spouse. She was a submariner’s wife for 25 years before Ken Retired. During this time she graduated from the University of Hawaii with her Nursing degree. She would later go on and get her Nurse Practioners degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. Nell would use this calling to teach birthing classes, Parenting classes, and even make home visits to those she felt needed extra help. All while working her regular nursing shifts in Labor and Delivery. When she left South Carolina she went to Corsicana, Texas to run their Planned Parenthood clinic, and then it was off to Ada Oklahoma to work with Indian Health Services. She also delivered babies at Carsewell AFB and Bremerton Naval Hospital where she finally decided to retire 1996. Nell would go on to volunteer her services wherever she was needed. When she wasn’t working or Volunteering she loved to travel. Nell, never met a stranger; they were a future friend to correspond with. She traveled to 52 countries and 5 continents; she never made it to Australia or Antarctica. But, with all her travels, Texas was her home and the home of her beloved Dallas Cowboys. Nell loved her family and friends more than anything else. She was able to say her good buys to each and everyone that made that special trip out to see her and those that couldn’t she knew she was loved by you. Survivors of Nelda include: Daughter Lori Ramirez and Son in law Sal Aguayo of Granbury. Son Rocky Hall and his wife Jeanette of Fort Worth. Grandsons Mathew Hall of Texas, Christopher Hall of South Carolina, Granddaughter’s Mellissa Aguilar and husband Lewis of Granbury, Texas, Jackie Chegwidden and Husband Bryan of Oregon. She also has 6 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
