Linda Ranae Silvey Jenkins (73), passed away peacefully on June 30, 2026, after a long battle with cancer and all its complications. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing she is now healed and resting in the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Linda was born on August 12, 1952, in Iowa City, Iowa. Linda was preceded in death by her parents Frances Frailey and Veachel Silvey and her brother Tony Silvey.
She was a quiet and private woman whose strength was often revealed not through words, but through her actions. Time and again, she adapted to life's challenges, put others before herself, and continued moving forward with grace. Her resilience, faith, and love left a lasting impression on her children and all who knew her.
Linda found joy and solace in her plants and gardens. She also found great pleasure in the art of crochet, crafting beautiful pieces that will be cherished by her family for generations to come.
A graduate of Iowa Falls High School and Northlake College, Linda made her career in serving others in roles in customer service, executive administration, customs brokerage and even as a driver for very young school children with special needs. But of all the jobs she held, her role as a wife and mother meant the most to her. She cherished her family.
She made a life she loved with her husband Keith of 34 years. Together they enjoyed bowling, golfing, beach vacations and Trinity High School football season.
Linda is survived by her daughter, Angela Mathews, and Angela's husband, Mark; her son, Michael Anderson; her brothers, Tim Silvey and his wife, Sheree, and Dan Silvey and his wife, Susan; and her sister, April Childers and her husband, Ross. She was a proud Nana to Shelby, Skylar, Hannah, Bailie, Carson, and Dylis, and a loving great-grandmother to six great-grandchildren. She was also a cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Linda was loved by all and all will miss her greatly.
We will gather in August to remember Linda and celebrate a life well-lived, filled with love, resilience, and unwavering devotion to her family.
