Linda Gay Hooser

1947 – 2018

Linda passed away peacefully on Friday June 15, 2018 at the age of 71 after fighting cancer for some time.

Linda was born June 12, 1947 in San Antonio, Texas to Johnny and Toppy (Wood) Glodt.

Linda attended Alamo Heights High School, was a member of Alamo Heights Methodist Church, attended the University of Texas – Austin (Class of 1969) and was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority. Linda married John David Hooser on February 20, 1971 in San Antonio, Texas.

Linda is survived by her loving husband of over 47 years; her son, Jonathan Blake Hooser, his wife, Sara Hooser, her much loved granddaughter, Jade Hooser; niece, Lisa Glodt; brother-in-law, C.W. Hooser, his wife, Bobbie Hooser; niece, Desiree Markle, her husband Chad Markle; and nephew, Christopher Hooser. Linda was preceded in death by her father, Johnny G. Glodt; mother, Toppy Glodt and brother, John Franklin Glodt, all of San Antonio.

Linda never met a stranger, was loved by many lifelong friends and truly brought “Light” to everyone in her presence. She was the perfect wife, mother, grandma and a true friend to so many.
