Larry Don Montgomery was born on August 29, 1945 in San Antonio, TX, he passed into the loving arms of Jesus on October 29, 2020 in his home in Springtown surrounded by his family. He was 75 years and 2 months.
Larry was survived by his wife of 48 years, Marge and son Dustin both of the home, daughter Tracy Quiroz of New Mexico, stepdaughter Tamera Webb of Humble, TX and stepson Thomas Sumner of San Antonio, TX. Sister Gail Goble of Wister, OK, Sister Helen Lane of Somerset, TX, Sister Joy Woolard (Mike) of South Boston, VA, Sister Mary Lynch (Don) of San Antonio, TX. 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Larry was preceeded in death by his parents Ottis J and Iola Evrage Montgomery, Brother Kenneth D Montgomery, Sister Reba Montgomery Quintanilla.
Larry was a 1964 graduate of Highlands High School in San Antonio, TX and a 1989 graduate of American Management Institute. Larry was employed for 20 years by 7UP/RC Bottling Company of Southern California, 6 years for Sugarloaf Creations of Colorado, and retired from McGraw-Hill Companies.
Larry loved his family and had a great sense of humor,
He loved fishing especially with his Dad, Brother, and brothers-in-law
He loved baseball and no matter where his job took him, he believed in supporting the home team, win or lose.
When Larry was young he had a hobby of pigeons and later in life he raised and flew racing pigeons until his illness took it from him.
Larry loved growing a garden and always found a way to have and work in a garden, until his illness took it from him.
Larry loved country music, but his very favorite song was How Great Thou Art.
