Larry Allan Barker

Larry Barker, 71, of Grand Prairie passed away on the morning of May 8, 2019. Larry was born on March 9, 1948 in Amarillo, TX to DB and Joeline Barker. Larry married Jana Amil on May 19, 2000. They enjoyed traveling together and over the course of their marriage they were able to visit Italy, Greece, Turkey and Germany just to name a few. Larry retired in 2003 from Cerner and became a valued member of the Grand Prairie Rotary Club. He and Jana became very in-volved members of the Dallas Area Parkinsons Group. Larry enjoyed photography and had sev-eral of his photos featured in different publications. He adored his dogs and loved the Texas Rangers. He was a loving Father to Aaron of Dallas, TX, and Nicole (Angel) Cartegena of North Carolina and Step Father to Tiffany (Ben) Ferrell of Arlington, TX. He was an amazing Papa to four beautiful Grandchildren; Jacob, Aidan, Madeline and Ambria. He will be greatly missed by the family he leaves behind.
