Karon Rozell, 76, of Grapevine, TX, passed away on July 02, 2023 . Karon was born on October 7, 1946 to Anease and Arthur Owen Ball in Salem, Oregon and moved to Texas as a baby. She graduated from R.L. Turner High School in Carrollton, Texas. In August of 1967, she met Chester Rozell on a blind date. They were married on December 30th of that same year. It was truly love at first sight . They had a daughter in October of 1968. Karon worked for Superior Products Co., manufacturer of Sue Pree :S-P Products. She went on to work at Rockwell International , a major American manufacturing conglomerate involved in aircraft, the space industry , avionics and industrial products. She retired as a librarian at the Grapevine Library, Grapevine, Texas.
After retiring, Karon spent her time baking, sewing and spending quiet evenings at home with just her and her husband Chester. She also cherished her home filled with love and laughter with her 3 grandchildren and later , 7 great-grandchildren . Karon loved any opportunity to tell people about her grandkids and great-grandkids. She carried it like a badge of honor.
Karon was a giving person and was always ready to help. Through the years she and Chester had many people stay with them. Children, grandchildren and sisters of Chester and Karon . Their home was always open for those needing shelter.
Karon was predeceased by her husband of 55 years Chester B. Rozell.
She is survived by her daughter, Chandra Savage, her son by marriage Rodney Savage . Her four grandchildren , Chase Savage , Lacye Savage Mora and grandson by marriage Chris Mora , and her youngest grandson Dalton. She is also survived by her 7 great-grandchildren, a loving brother Jim Ball and his wife Mary; and also a sister, Sharon.
