Jack was born in Durand, WI to John and Muriel Soden. Upon graduating highschool he joined the U.S. Navy where he served for three years. Following his discharge, he attended the University of Wisconsin where he graduated with honors in 1964. He was successfully employed for 30 years with John Deere as an industrial engineer serving in plants in WI, IL, and IA. Upon his retirement, he spent his time on his passion for travel, as well as golf and beautiful stained-glass work.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Susan, daughter Michelle Harper Boyd, son Brian, and brother Robert. He leaves five beautiful grandchildren and three great grandchildren, all of whom will miss him greatly.
