John was born in Haskell, TX on March 15, 1938. He grew up in the Waco State Home and attended Paschal High School, graduating class of 1956. He proudly served in the US Navy from 1956 until 1963. He enjoyed golfing, cooking BBQ, having a little "pop" of whiskey and listening to George Jones with friends and family. His family meant everything to him and he loved being around them with all his heart. His spirit, laughter and huge personality will be missed by all who knew him. John was preceded in death by sisters Jean Brown, Hazel Huber, and Lawana Raich; and nephew, Robert Smith.

Majowicz and husband Frank; brother, Bert Smith and wife Mary; niece Ronda Guinn; numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends that will miss him greatly.
