John delighted in his son. Fatherhood on that day in December 1984 was a true blessing and gift. A moment of God's direct nurturance and comfort. After all, just a few years prior, John and Rose had buried their first child, a daughter named Sarah.
On June 5, 2021 John Myers passed from this life at the age of 64. John is survived by his only child, Robert Alvin Myers and his wife Aja. By four adoring grandchildren Johnny, Kylie, Opal and Violet Myers. He is also survived by one brother of three siblings, Melvin Power and a host of wonderful nieces and nephews. Anyone that knew John knows that his truest passion was music! John had an intense love for and gift in music. His natural abilities on guitar were widely known and highly regarded. This love and talent would prompt John to pursue involvement in several local bands. He was also a prolific songwriter and vocalist who found music to be a great means to his artistic self expression.
