Jere Hepler Bone lived his 91 years with an open heart, an inquisitive mind, and an irrepressible enthusiasm for life. Born October 29, 1934, Jere gently passed away at his home in Robson Ranch, Denton, Texas, on August 26, 2026.
To know Jere was to know someone who delighted in people, ideas, music, laughter, learning, and the beauty of the world around him. He never met a stranger; connecting with others came naturally to him, and he had a wonderful way of making people feel welcomed, safe, valued, and loved. Whether through his long career as a dentist and orthodontist, his many interests and adventures, his service to his community, or simply a lively conversation with a friend, Jere brought curiosity, hope, humor, and joy to whatever he was doing. He loved serving his community, and in his later years often said that his favorite job of all was serving with pride and enthusiasm on the Robson Ranch Community Patrol Force.
He is survived by his wife, Vickie; three brothers; nine children; eleven grandchildren; and a wide circle of extended family, friends, neighbors, colleagues, and community members.
His legacy lives on in the many people with whom he shared his greatest gifts: a love of connection, a zest for living, and an enduring ability to find and share the joy and beauty in life.
