Haskell Ray Berry, or Ray as everyone knew and loved him, was born February 20, 1947 in Ranger, TX. Ray grew up in Breckenridge, TX where he began street racing at a young age. His passion for engines, cars, and going fast was then ignited by his experiences.
After graduating from Breckenridge High School in 1965, Ray went on to enlist in the United States Air Force where he served overseas in the Vietnam War. After returning stateside and completing his service, Ray opened his first machine shop. The first of many business ventures he poured himself into.
Also known as a jack of all trades, there was nothing Ray could not figure out or fix. A skill that he passed down to his beloved sons. Ray was also an avid horseback rider. He enjoyed participating in local playdays and competing in team events.
Ray was a mechanic for over 50 years. After he retired Ray kept busy with his ever-growing list of projects. Alongside his many projects, Ray was always ready and willing to help his family and friends. From fixing a car to rebuilding a house. Ray truly had a selfless giving heart. Just one of many qualities everyone loved and will miss.
Ray is survived by his wife Tina, Sons Tim and Klee, stepdaughter Jaycee Allen and husband Blake, nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, numerous family and countless friends. Ray was preceded in death by his parents Haskell and Clara Berry and eldest son Antonio Berry.
