Harry Glazier, passed away in Ft. Worth on Sunday March 5, 2023 at Mirabella Assisted Living and Memory Care one week after his 87th birthday. Harry was born in Indianapolis and graduated from Indiana University. He was an honorably discharged veteran both of the Army and Air Force. In the latter service, he attained the rank of captain.
A genuine “foodie,” he was an excellent cook and connoisseur of fine cuisine. Working closely with famed chef, Helen Corbitt in the Zodiac Room at Neiman Marcus, he was extremely popular with the entire restaurant staff and received wide recognition for his management of the celebrated restaurant and his own turn as chef.
Many people valued Harry’s steady friendship and support. A man of immense kindness and thoughtfulness, he took a great interest in others, always concerned about their well-being and that of their families. Friends knew him as a great conversationalist and a voracious reader, particularly of books and articles on American and European history. He spoke with an informed eloquence about his reading passions.
Harry was predeceased by parents David and Rea Rosen Glazier and three brothers, Al, Bob and Sam Glazier. He is survived by sisters Marcia Kolodkin, Gerry Pergament, brother Jack Glazier, and best friend and care giver, Michael Edwards.
