Harold Loyd Wheeler of Weatherford, Texas transitioned peacefully to his heavenly home on October 26th, 2017, with his wife of 53 years, by his side. Celebration of life will be at 2:30PM Sunday, October 29 at Ash Creek Baptist Church in Azle, Texas Visitation with the family will be offered Saturday, October 28, 6-8pm at 1437 East Lake Drive, Weatherford, TX Hal Wheeler was born July 24th, 1938, in Santo, Texas. He was in the 7th infantry division of US Army, serving as secretary to the Adjunct General. He was a master mason, and he took his skills overseas to Recife and Fortaleza, Brazil for four years to serve the Lord as a missionary. After returning home and earning his degree, he went on to teach and coach in FWISD for 20+ years. In retirement, Hal enjoyed gospel sing-alongs with family and friends all over the state of Texas, looking for ballfield lights to catch a local hometown game, watching his grandchildren pursue their passions and traveling all over the nation and world. He is preceded in death by Parents – Farris & Katie Wheeler Brothers – Joe Von & Everett Wheeler Sisters – Sis McCalla & Jeanette Burnett He is survived by Wife, Gloria Bell Wheeler, Daughter Stephanie Duarte and husband, Jorge, daughter Stacy Lindsey, son Stephen Wheeler and wife, Kristin, and son Stanton Wheeler and wife, Crystal. Grandchildren Andressa and Ariane Duarte, Candice and Cody Lindsey, Lance and Lauren Wheeler and Jared, Jadyn and Jayla Wheeler. Sisters Burkie Thornton, Eva Lu Wright, Linda Duncan, Franna McCullars and brother, Max Wheeler and many more cousins, extended family and loved ones.
