Harold Farris, 89, of Fort Worth, Texas died August 3, 2017 after a long illness. He was born September 21, 1928 to Lillie Mae and John Martin Farris in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, attended grades 1 through 12 in New Castle Pa. Harold received his BA degree from Geneva College in Beaver Falls, Pa and his Masters in Education at Westminster College, New Wilmington, Pa.
Harold joined National Cash Register Co. as an outside salesman in 1954 and retired from there 18 ½ years later to form his own company, Farris Cash Register Co/ Farris Point of Sales. He retired in year 2000 but continued to sell supplies to his customers in the Metroplex until his death.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy of 58 years, sons Jack and wife Jodi, David and his partner Tony Doles, grandchildren John and Dr. Alexa Royston and husband.
Celebration of life and interment will be held at Greenwood in Ft Worth to be announced at a later date.
Harold was a member of the Grand Lodge, New Castle, Oa, The Scottish Rite New Castle, Pa and the Moslah Shriners, Magnolia Mafia, Colonial Friends, Rotary Club of Ft Worth South and various talk groups.
