Gerald Lee Robnett, age 70, died peacefully at his home with his family by his side on November 1, 2017. He was survived and will be missed by his wife, Linda Robnett; and his daughter, Angela Murrell; his granddaughter, Kaylee Murrell; his nephew (whom he raised as his own), Patrick Hewitt; and his sister, Janice Moss; and many special extended family members. He was a veteran who proudly served his country with the United States Navy and was a Vietnam war veteran. The family will be having a private graveside services will be held at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery at a later date. Gerald, known as “Pops” by his children and grandchildren, was a simple man who loved his simple pleasures in life…. He was a man who took pride in his yard, loved going to casino’s, loved fishing, and of course, loved his family with all his heart. The biggest love of his life besides his family was the ocean. He often spoke of moving to the beach when he retired, and even though that never came to fruition during his time here on earth, we’ve found a way to make the ocean one of his final resting places. Some of his ashes will be placed in an underwater memorial reef off the coast of Key Biscayne in Florida, which the family will embark on that second memorial this coming Spring. Even though we will forever mourn the loss of our beloved Pops, he is now free from any and all suffering, and is watching over us from above.
