Gerald Pierce Carsey was born July 7, 1938 in Dallas, TX where he lived most of his life until he left this earth June 7, 2021 for yet another grand adventure. After happy childhood years as a Peeler Potato Peeler, he enjoyed his friends and the high jinxes at Adamson High School graduating in 1956. Gerald expanded his view of this beautiful earth traveling the world as a navigator with U.S. Marines Corps. In 1959, he married Barbara Blair and soon began his family. Graduating UT Arlington in 1974, he enjoyed a busy career in architecture, design, construction, and teaching. He was especially proud of his sons and his special role as Grandpa Bop to his grands and greats.
Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Rowena Carsey, sister, Mary Carsey and son, George Carsey. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Barbara Blair Carsey, son, Andre’ and wife Patricia, amazing grandchildren Daniel and wife Jennifer, Nathan and wife Melissa, Caulin and wife Blair, Evin and fiancé Christina Andrews, Katie and husband Josh McClurkan, Blake and fiancé Emily Wikman, Landon, and seven great grandchildren. He will be missed by sisters Jon Carol Carsey, Diana and husband David Wolters, Karmien (Sweety) and husband Alton Bowman, and many other loving family members and friends who are remembered here.
