George Adams, 71, passed away peacefully at home on August 20, 2026 after a courageous battle with follicular dendritic sarcoma.
Born in 1955, George grew up in Austin, Texas where he graduated from Crockett High School in 1973. He went on to graduate from Southwest Texas State in 1977, beginning a successful career that would take him across the United States.
George spent 25 years as a financial analyst with Sherwin Williams. His career gave him the opportunity to live in many different parts of the country, and along the way, he was fortunate to build lifelong friendships with people who remained an important part of his life.
While living in North Carolina, George discovered his love for golf - a passion that became an important part of his life. His dedication and talent for the game led him to become club champion at Eldorado Country Club in McKinney and Hurricane Creek in Anna, Texas.
Beyond his career and accomplishments, George will be remembered most for the joy he brought to his family and friends. He loved to cook and was always the master of the kitchen at family gatherings. Whether preparing a special meal or simply enjoying time together, George had a way of making family occasions memorable.
George was preceded in death by his parents, Terry and Bill Adams. He is survived by his beloved wife, Debbie Adams; stepchildren, Jason Day (Jennifer) and David Day (Jessica); grandchildren, Jax, Jaycee, Jameson, Aubrey, Derek and Avery. He is also survived by his sister, Lisa and Randy Sefcik; uncle and aunt, Tom and Vera Wells.
George leaves behind a legacy of love, friendship, family and countless memories made along the way. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him but his love of family, his friendships, his laughter, his cooking and his passion for golf will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
