Gary Edward Hecox

Gary Edward Hecox of Fort Worth, TX passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2026, at the age of 74. Gary was born on April 28, 1952, in Keokuk, Iowa. Gary grew up in Goldthwaite, Tx then later moved to Fort Worth, Tx where he lived the remainder of his life. He graduated from Burleson High School in 1970.

Gary worked as Ford Master Technician, Service advisor and Delivery driver for Ford.

Gary’s passions were spending time with his sons, riding motorcycles, collection guns, spending time in Big Bend and the Hill country.

Gary is preceded in death by his parents Edward and Peggy Hecox.

Gary is survived by his wife Nancy Hecox, sons; Wesley Hecox, Jeff Hecox and Kendal Wallace (Holly), Grandson Kason Wallace and Granddaughter Abrianna Austin, sister; Suzy Fletcher and Karen (John) Childress; nephews Shiloh, Chisum, Cimarron, Colter and Tanner.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Heart Hospital Fort Worth ICU for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in their final days.
