She was a loving and involved mother as the children were growing up. She encouraged each to venture forth to the fulfilling lives they would each lead. Frances was very active with several organizations. She worked to support and advance sight conservation, and aid to the blind. She volunteered for years with the Delta Gamma preschool screening program, and fearlessly drove their RV to schools though out the Ft. Worth area. She was a board member of the Light House for the Blind for several years.
Politics was another area where Frances was very active. She volunteered for many years at the precinct and area level for meetings and elections, and as a city council and mayoral aide .
Frances was avid reader. She loved and collected many books. She was knowledgeable in diverse topics and possessed an excellent recall. Birds were another favorite pastime as she noted all the species she could see, where ever she happened to be. She was fiercely independent, always focused forward and to the future.
She is survived by her children Will C. Wohler in Panama; Martha (Marti) Sharp and husband, Daniel, of Denver, Colorado; Patrick R. Wohler and wife Lisa, of El Reno, Oklahoma; grandchildren Ryan Wohler Sharp, Barrett Lee Sharp, and Ava Laree Wohler.
