Florence was born October 2, 1930 in Post, Texas the first child born to Mettie Lucille and Walter Bryant Houston.
Florence was a homemaker, salesperson and hospital nurses’ aide for many years of which she excelled in all areas. She was a resident of Irving, Texas for over 60 years prior to moving to Fort Worth to be close to family. She was the mother of 2 children.
Florence was survived by her husband of 70 years, Loyd Mullins (passed May 17, 2022), daughter and son in law Cynthia and Wally , 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
She was preceded in death by her son Melvin Michael Mullins.
Joint Services will be held with her husband Loyd on June 8, 2022, 3:15pm at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery located at 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211.
