Elida was a devoted wife, mother to three sons, grandparent and sister, family was very important to her. She worked several jobs throughout her life at Dickies Apparel, as Nursing Home Aid, and in her later years as a Silk Presser at Forrest Hill Cleaners.
She loved sewing and quilting. She made many items for family members and was quick to make repairs on their clothing and any other items in need of attention. She also loved to cook, always preparing delicious Mexican food for her family, with some of our favorite dishes being enchiladas, tacos, fideos, carne guisada, tamales, frijoles, spanish rice and always homemade tortillas. She could make a meal from anything and no one ever went hungry.
