Douglas Duane Williams, age 90, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2025, in Argyle, Texas. Celebration of Life service will be at 1:30 pm on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Lamb of God Church in Flower Mound, Texas.
Douglas was born on November 15, 1934, to Lorian Williams and Dorthea (Kosche) in Gary, Indiana. Following college, he relocated to Chicago and married his wife Anita (Arndt). After spending 73 years in Illinois, they moved to Texas, where he continued to enjoy retirement with his wife. He had and distinguished career in education spanning over 30 years and spent the past 35 years of his life, enjoying retirement, spending time with family, and volunteering with his church, Kiwanis, and the Salvation Army. He also enjoyed bike riding, going to the Cubs games, and spending time with his grandsons.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lorian Williams, Dorthea (Kosche), and brother, Roger Williams.
Survivors include his wife, Anita Williams of Denton, son David Williams (Carol), Daniel Williams, daughter Deborah Stuempfig (Randy); grandchildren Ryan Stuempfig and Tyler Stuempfig. nephews Randy Williams (Karen), Russ Williams and niece Raellyn Kovich.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Kiwanis Club of Robson Ranch, Denton, TX or to Lamb of God Church, Flower Mound, Texas.
