

Donna graduated from Tonkawa High School in 1968 and went on to attend the University of Oklahoma, where she majored in French. She later attended the University of Oklahoma’s Dental Hygiene program, earning her degree in 1973.
Donna dedicated over 50 years of her life to her career as a dental hygienist, caring for her patients with kindness and professionalism.
She was a devoted member of Pleasantview Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas, where she was actively involved in her faith and community.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, William M. Strange and Carol L. Strange, and her nephew, Tony L. Parrott.
She is survived by her loving husband, Bill McDonald; her sister, B. Diane Gates, and husband Steven Gates; her brother and sister‑in‑law, Kenny and Linda McDonald; her sister‑in‑law, Cathy Simpson; her nephew and wife Todd and Jill Parrott and family; Trent Parrott; as well as many grand‑nephews and nieces. She is also survived by her precious and beloved dog, Bella.
Donna had a deep love of her family, friends, and the many “rescue" dogs who shared her life. She especially found joy in cheering on her Oklahoma Sooners throughout the year. Her kindness and gentle spirit were felt by all who knew her.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Donna’s life at Pleasantview Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas, on July 11, at 11AM.
A burial will take place at Tonkawa IOOF cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in her honor to the American Cancer Society.
