Donna Louise Kane

Donna Louise Kane (Johnston), 74, of Alvarado, Texas, passed away peacefully Monday (Dec. 26, 2016) near her home. Donna was born Oct. 26, 1942, in Kankakee, the daughter of Vaughn and Dorothea Anderson Johnston, and was one of six children. Donna married Larry F. Kane on July 17, 1961. Donna was a homemaker. Her hobbies included crocheting, bingo and spending time with her family. She is survived by one sister, Mary Understahl, of Manteno; her children, Michael (and Denise), of Apex, N.C., Kandace, of Alvarado, Texas and Patrick (and Kimberly,) of Allen, Texas.; seven grandchildren, Michael, Sydney, Ethan, Erin, Makenzie, Jacob and Matthew; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family. Donna was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brothers, Mike, Chuck, and Tom and her sister, Beverly. Cremation rights have been accorded. A family service and inurnment will be held at a later date in Prairie Dell Cemetery, Iroquois County where she will be laid to rest beside her husband.
