

Hunter, Donald Edward, (Don) was born in Dallas, Texas on November 9, 1965 to Warren Benjamin and Mary Joe (Brown) Hunter. Sadly, Don passed away at home on December 4, 2025 in Dallas, Texas.
Don graduated from Bryan Adams High School in 1984 and later found that he had a natural talent for sales and creative entrepreneurial endeavors, always creating something new with his inquisitive mind and artistic talent. He enjoyed painting and creating exquisite soaps and lotions. Don was a friend to all and always the life of the party. He loved to hunt, fish, camp, and travel back and forth to Florida.
Growing up, there was always an adventure for Don, many joyful holidays playing with siblings and cousins. He also enjoyed attending St Mark Presbyterian church with his family, especially Christmas Eve. Being the youngest and the runt, Don was nicknamed Dinky. As an adult, Don grew from being known as Dinky or Dinky Don to being affectionately known as Uncle Buck.
Don was predeceased by his parents, his beloved sister, Mary Ann Hunter, and his cherished nephew, Scott Hunter McCone. He is survived by his siblings, Nan McCone, Janet Talmage, Ben Hunter, Joe Hunter, Ruth Crawley, Margaret Hix, Bruce Hunter, and half-sister, Dorian Langi; his many, many nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and great grand nieces and nephews; and his Brown and Lively cousins. He will be missed by all.
Donald Edward will be lain to rest alongside his maternal grandparents, Joseph Barnhart Brown and Mary Blain (Clark) Brown, in Sherman, Texas. Graveside service will be held on February 6, 2026 (11:00 AM) at the West Hill Cemetery, 1304 W Lamar St., Sherman, Texas.
A Celebration of Don’s Life will be hosted by Ruth and Karl Crawley on February 7th at 1:00 PM., 3409 Sea Breeze Dr., Rowlett, Texas.
