

David Ray Richardson (DR), a lifelong resident of Fort Worth, TX, passed away peacefully at Harrison of Heritage nursing home, Saturday, October 8, 2022 at the age of 84. He was born May 31, 1938, in Fort Worth to Vance and Velma Richardson. He was a graduate of Texas Christian University and spent his career as a loyal employee at Lockheed Martin.
DR truly lived life to the fullest through travel and photography. DR was an avid golfer. He was proud of his involvement in the early years of Squaw Creek Golf Club and he enjoyed his time at Ridglea Country Club and the friendships that he forged there. DR was devoted to First Tee, a youth development organization.
He is preceded in death by his former wife Sam Cody. DR is survived by his godchildren, Selwa Mitchell and her husband Scott, and Paul Reese and wife Vanessa, and great-god children, Isabella and Charles Mitchell and Layla and Aria Reese.
He was a good man respected and loved by all. He will be greatly missed.
Family and friends are invited to a celebration of life at Ridglea Country Club, 3700 Bernie Anderson Ave., Fort Worth, TX 76116 in the Garden room, Friday, November 4th from 3 to 5:30pm to honor his memory.
