May today there be a peace within You. May you trust God that you an1 exactly where you are
meant to be. Colleen believed that her friends were quiet angels, blessing her with their presence.
Colleen was a long-time resident of Town Village Crossing in Arlington Texas and spent the last 8 years living the best life one could have. She engaged in many activities until her stroke in November of 2022 forced her to slow down. Aided by the wonderful staff of Town Village Crossing, her home health workers, her many friends, and her daughters, she remained a resident of Town Village until July of 2023 when she was transferred to the care of Sundance Assisted Living. There she was lovingly cared for in her final days.
Colleen was born in Peoria, Illinois to James Sylvester Coulton and Ruth Gertrude Keller Coulton. She was an only child. Later in life she reconnected with cousins which brought her much joy. Colleen married Thomas Moore Saye on August 5th of 1955. They had two daughters, Judi, and Lou Ann. They lived in Illinois until 1973, when Tom's job transferred them to Irving, Texas, then to Massachusetts. They returned to Texas in 1976 and lived in Arlington. Colleen worked for Physic-Control and was offered a great opportunity to move to the Seattle area during the early 90's. When she retired, she and Tom returned to Arlington Texas, and stayed for good.
After settling in their Turtle Rock Townhome, Tom and Colleen became regularly active in the Arlington Elks BPOE #2114 and Does Drove #166. Colleen served as President of her Drove. She immensely enjoyed the time spent with her Does and built lifelong friendships. Her photo albums are full of memories from this happy time in her life. After Tom died in 1997, she continued to stay involved with her Does, she volunteered with Arlington Schools, and the Turtle Rock HOA where she lived until she moved to Town Village Crossing.
Colleen was very proud of her family and loved each of them dearly. She was no stranger to heartache, but her faith in God gave her comfort that she shared openly with everyone.
Colleen was preceded in death by her parents Jim and Ruth, her beloved Tom her grand daughter-in-law Misty Dawn Debrick, and great-grandson Dalton August Debrick. She is survived by her daughters Judith Lynn Debrick (Fred) and Lou Ann Saye (Bruce Rohne), her grandchildren Danny Debrick (Debbie), Bryan Debrick (Cassie), James Magee, Alex Magee, her great grandchildren Devon Debrick (Gracie), Miranda Debrick, Braylon and camden Magee, Madilynn and Brayden Thorn, and Ashlyn Gaston.
She will be interred at the DFW National Cemetery with her beloved Husband Tom.
May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face; the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.
