She traveled to America at the age of 14 to live with her Aunt and Uncle in California and became a U.S. citizen in 1971. She eventually made her way to Texas and began her career in accounting at GSA, where she worked for over 20 years.
Sometimes she talked of living in Germany during the war. She shared memories of fear and hunger. Her family received food from the local church on occasion. The main staple supplied was potatoes, so her family ate a lot of potatoes. She recalled the many times that she and her family would hurry to the bomb shelter while the air raid sirens blared.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her brother Hahn Jürgen in England, her best friend Dee along with her best four legged friend Stella and good friends Patty & Joann and many other loyal friends from work and her neighborhood.
Her wish to be cremated was honored. There will be a memorial celebrating Christa’s life to be held at a later date.
Arrangements under the direction of NEPTUNE SOCIETY - Fort Worth, Fort Worth, TX.
