Charlie was best known as Pop. He is survived by his wife, of 53 wonderful years Wanda, 3 children, Tiffany, Steffany and Chad and 8 grandchildren that were the light of his life.
Charlie owned and operated a Dental Laboratory for many years, more recently he and Wanda owned and operated 3 child care centers. He loved being in the classrooms, seeing the children and hearing them yell "Mr. Charlie" as they ran to hug him. While these professions brought him joy his true love was drag racing. Charlie set several world records driving the top fuel dragster "The Guzler".and was a well known legend in his day.
Charlie's favorite hobby was Golf, he loved the game and spent many weekends playing rounds with family. His passion for the game spilled over to his son Chad and grandson Keaton.
A Gathering in memory of Charlie will take place Sunday September 22, 2019 at 1 PM at the Golf Club at Fossil Creek in Fort Worth, Texas.
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Charlie's name to Union Gospel Mission in Fort Worth, TX.
