Charles Edward Hoyme

Charles Edward Hoyme, 72, passed away Tuesday December 19, 2017 at Baylor Scott and White Medical Center in Grapevine, Texas due to cancer. Charles was born in Decorah, Iowa to Norman and Kathryn Hoyme (deceased). His siblings include one brother, Nordean Hoyme (deceased), and one sister, Louise Ellingson. He attended Decorah High School and then Luther College. After college, he served in the U.S. Navy (December 1967- March 1972). He has lived in Flower Mound since June 1990. Charles is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Martha Hoyme. SURVIVORS: Son: Scott Hoyme and his wife Malisa; daughter: Denise Robertson and her husband Bobby Robertson; grandchildren: Emily Griffin, Jamie Griffin, Sara Robertson, Cole Hoyme and Connor Hoyme; and several nieces and nephews plus great nieces and nephews. Charles was a devoted husband, father, pawpaw, grandpa and pet owner. He loved his family. He may be gone but will never be forgotten. We all love and miss you. REST IN PEACE until we meet again. The memorial service will be held January 13, 2018 at Flower Mound Presbyterian Church at 10:00 A.M. (1501 Flower Mound Road, Flower Mound, Texas). There will be a military funeral later.
