

Catherine “Cathy” Ann Lentz, age 84, of Salina, Kansas, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, in Arlington, Texas.
Cathy was born on November 18, 1941, in Salina, Kansas, to Chester and Ruth Heatwole. She graduated with the Salina Central High School Class of 1959. On September 17, 1960, she married Carl Lentz in Salina. Together, they shared 46 years of marriage, raised three children, and built a life filled with family, love, and wonderful memories.
Cathy began her career as an administrative assistant at National Bank of America (NBA). She later joined the Salina Airport Authority, where she worked for more than 18 years before retiring.
Cathy had a lifelong love of travel and was fortunate to visit many places around the world. She and Carl especially enjoyed traveling in their RV, camping at lakes, and visiting national parks. After retiring, Cathy continued to share her love of travel as a part-time tour host for Heritage Tours, a role she thoroughly enjoyed. She often said that she had lived a great life—and she truly had.
Above all, Cathy cherished her family and the many people whose lives she touched. She had a big, welcoming heart and was always ready with a smile, a helping hand, or a word of encouragement. Her generosity, warmth, and genuine love for others will be remembered by all who knew her.
Cathy is survived by her children, Randy Lentz and wife Robyn; Stephanie Lentz Rangel and husband Gilbert; and Shari Lentz White; her grandchildren, Colby, Justin, Maci, and Katie; and her precious great-grandchild, Siloh.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Ruth Heatwole; her beloved husband, Carl Lentz; and her sister, Sharon Foiles.
Cathy will be deeply loved, forever missed, and never forgotten.
Visitation and Memorial Service
Visitation will be held at Moore Funeral Home in Arlington, Texas, before Cathy is returned to her hometown of Salina, Kansas.
A memorial service celebrating Cathy’s life will be held at First Christian Church in Salina on September 19, 2026, at 1:00 p.m.
Family and friends are invited to gather in her honor, share memories, and celebrate the love and legacy Cathy leaves behind.
