Candyce Marie Buescher (Cunningham) passed away unexpectedly March 7th, 2026, with her loving family surrounding her.
Born on September 16th, 1980, to Joseph and Pat Cunningham in Minot, North Dakota, Candyce grew up traveling the world as a military dependent. She grew up on military bases in Guam, England, and the US, eventually graduating High School in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. After high school she attended and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies (education) from Texas A&M Commerce. She loved teaching, pouring a love of knowledge into kids and was willing to stick with the tough jobs because she wanted to make a difference. In her time as a teacher, she was recognized for her innovative and caring approach, a passionate educator who will be deeply missed by family, friends and co-workers.
She met the love of her life, Jason Buescher, at one of their favorite Texas country music venues where they both enjoyed the same live music acts. They soon got married at Southfork Ranch (Dallas TV show location) and then moved to Oklahoma where they started a family but ultimately settled in Fort Worth, Texas. Her two boys were her whole world. She was quick to brag about their good grades, musical and athletic talents and most of all their loving and kind spirit.
Candyce loved to travel and be outdoors, enjoying life to the fullest. Her sense of adventure took her many places with some of her favorites being anywhere the family camper was. She achieved an ultimate goal of hers by getting her husband to finally jump on a plane and explore other countries.
Candyce is preceded in death by her father, Joseph Robert Cunningham, and mother, Patricia Marie Cunningham.
Candyce is survived by her husband, Jason Buescher, sons, Evan and Rory Buescher, brother, Bill Cunningham, Sister-in-Law, Julie Cunningham, and family.
Candyce leaves Earth too soon but not without lasting memories, a legacy, and an impact that can’t be measured. She joins her parents in Heaven, watching over us all.
In lieu of flowers, please consider supporting the family GoFundMe fund to aid in this difficult transition.
She will be remembered with a celebration of life with family and close friends on April 18th, 2026.
