Billy DeWayne Mitchell

Billy Dewayne Mitchell, known to many family and friends as "Mitch," passed away on Friday, April 15, 2016. Service: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, 2020 S. Collins St., Arlington, 76010. Mitch will be laid to rest in DFW National Cemetery at a later date. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Good Shepherd United Methodist Church. Mitch was a Korean War veteran and a pressman for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram for 25 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Beverly Byrd Mitchell and Jessie Claire Sides Mitchell. Survivors: Beloved wife of 61 years, Dana Mitchell; sons, Michael Mitchell (Karen) and Kyle Mitchell; daughter, Lynn Karnowski (Kenneth); grandchildren, Chris Mitchell, Charlie Mitchell, Adam Karnowski (Jessica) and Kurt Karnowski; and his great-grandchildren, Haliegh, Mallory and Jordyn.
