Betty Hortense (Keys) Danielson

Betty Hortense Danielson of Fort Worth, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on September 23, 2026, at the age of 96. She was born in Fort Worth on September 17, 1930, and grew up there. Though a Texan by birth, she made her home in Albuquerque, New Mexico, for more than 50 years and loved the Land of Enchantment.

Betty was a loving homemaker, wife, and mother. Her faith in Christ was the center of her life, and she was an active member of First Baptist Church of Albuquerque for over 50 years. Alongside her family, she had a lifelong passion for family history, Baptist history, and art.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Omer Keys; her mother, Maimie Hortense Keys; her brothers, Omer Jr. and Foy; her sisters, Margie and Nancy; her husband of 50 years, Alan Dale Danielson, Sr. (who went by Dale); and her son-in-law Tyler Adkins.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Elaine Adkins; her son, Alan Dale Danielson, Jr.; her grandchildren, Abby Adkins, Christopher Rose and wife Molly, Josh Adkins, Stephen Rose, Bekah Killnski and husband Fran, Sarah Rose, Benjamin Rose and wife Samantha, Taylor Danielson, Melody Adkins, Landry Danielson, Hayden Danielson; and her great-grandchildren, Mason, Walker, and Wyatt Rose. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews Larry, Dane, Susan, Kathy, Rhonda, Karen, Judy, Jodi and Kim, and their families.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to Judy Dodson for the love and compassion she showed in opening her home to Betty for the last seven years of her life.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial meal celebrating Betty's life at Faith Christian School in a meeting venue named “The Cottage at Worth Street”, located at 730 E Worth St Grapevine, TX 76051 on Saturday, October 3, 2026. from 4:00 pm to 6:00pm. Betty will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband at Santa Fe National Cemetery, with a small graveside service on a date and time to be determined. Please check back on this page for the time and date.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Betty and Dale’s memory to First Baptist Church of Albuquerque.
