Belinda Jo Mitchell

Belinda Jo Mitchell, age 75, of Mansfield, Texas, was welcomed into Heaven by her Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 29, 2026. She was born in Memphis, Texas, on July 18, 1951, to Winfield Scott Hancock and Rica Hazel Hancock.

Belinda graduated from Klamath Union High School in June 1969. After high school, she attended business school and began her 40-year career in dentistry in 1970. Her career included work in general dentistry, periodontal dentistry, and oral surgery, ultimately culminating into her own dental consulting business. She became an expert and leading authority in helping dentists maximize profits while enhancing patient experiences for dentists across the United States.

Belinda loved her family and friends fiercely. Time spent with her was always a joy, as she had a special way of making people feel seen, safe, and valued. She was truly the hostess with the mostest! Belinda was at her happiest when hosting gatherings for family and friends.

And Belinda sparkled—literally! She loved all things bling. Her makeup, jewelry, hair, nails, perfume, and blinged-out clothing were some of her favorite things. If there was a sparkle on it, Belinda loved it! She took immense pride in her appearance and was never caught out without her face on and her hair on point. She was glam at its finest!

Above all, Belinda was a strong Christian woman who was deeply rooted in her faith and her love for Jesus. The day she was called home was filled with her favorite hymns and worship songs. Praise the Lord for her life and the beautiful legacy of love, faith, and joy she leaves behind.

Belinda was preceded in death by her parents; her maternal and paternal grandparents; her two sisters, Frances Lane and Lucille Blakey; and her three brothers, Gary Hancock, John Hancock, and Scott Hancock, Jr.

She is survived by her daughters, Shannon Moore (Terry) and Staci Ross (Greg); her four grandchildren, Mitchell Overton, Jayce Overton, Jake Overton, and Quinn Fowler; and her sister, Diane Williams. She is also survived by a host of other precious family members and dear friends who will miss her dearly.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Dementia Society of America, a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for those living with dementia and their caregivers. The organization is also committed to meaningful participation in and support of dementia research.

Belinda’s life was filled with faith, family, friendship, laughter, sparkle, and love. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who were blessed to know her.
