Barbara Jean Davis Klemm, 84, went to her heavenly reward Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Sunrise Memory Care in Fort Worth where she had resided for the past nine years. She was born June 27, 1932 in Waukegan, Illinois to Nan and John Davis and her sisters Margie and Marie, who predeceased her.
She married John Klemm in 1950. John had a 35-year career with Campbell Soup Company and he and Barbara raised four children. They spent most of their lives in Plainview, TX where Barbara was an active member of First United Methodist Church, a leader of Girl Scouts, and a substitute teacher for Plainview ISD. Barbara was also an accomplished seamstress and avid reader.
She is survived by her four children; Linda Klemm Buttram (David) of Las Cruces, NM; Jeff Klemm (Linda) of Houston, TX; Jack Klemm (JoTisa) of Fort Worth, TX; Carol Klemm Worley (Kevin) of Amarillo, TX; twelve grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Her family will gather for a memorial service in Plainview, TX on January 7, 2017. The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, memorials be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association at Alz.org.
