During WWII he moved to Fort Worth and supported the war effort working at the “Bomber Plant.” It was there he met the sweet and lovely Sylvia, embarking on a devoted lifelong partnership of 70 years of marriage.
His accounting career focused on the aerospace industry, retiring first from General Dynamics and then Bell Helicopter. He enjoyed being a member of the Fort Worth Shrine Knights Templar Drill Team; his team won two national championships.
Bernie touched many people in his life and he will live on in all of us.

Monday, September 12 at 11 am at First United Methodist Fort Worth, Leonard Memorial Chapel, 800 W 5th St.
Memorial donations may be made in Bernie's name to Methodist Children's Home - Waco, Texas; First United Methodist Church, Fort Worth; Charity of Choice.
Preceded in death by his sisters, Doris Leonard her husband Joe Leonard and son Steve, Eleanor Warian and husband Bill.

He will be dearly missed by his wife, Sylvia; son, Gary and wife Peg; nieces, Linda and husband Denny Fultz, LoAnn and husband Warren Shepard, Kathy and husband Dave Chatelaine, Christine and husband David Larson; and nephew, Tom Warian.
