Ronald Dane Dickenson

Ronald Dane Dickenson passed away at home early Friday morning on August 28, 2026. He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Dina Hall Dickenson, daughter Dana Dickenson Starr Rittelmeyer, her husband George Alden Rittelmeyer, and grandson Shane Starr, daughter Amanda Dickenson Rogowski, her husband Bryant Rogowski, and granddaughters Ava Rogowski, and Olivia Rogowski, brother Johnny Dickenson, sisters Bobby Porter and Connie Horne, sister-in-law Betsy Dickenson, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Ron and Dina moved from Virginia to Atlanta in 1973 after Ron served his country with two tours of duty in Vietnam as a Navy Hospital Corpsman alongside the U.S. Marine Corps. He never minced his words, and he was a fierce animal lover, who leaves behind his beloved dog, Artemis (AKA Artie).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to local animal shelters or rescue organizations in his name. He would want nothing else.
