Roberta Ann Engle

In loving memory of Roberta Engle, who passed away on October 3, 2026 in Griffin, Georgia. At the age of 79. Born in Celina, Ohio on January 4, 1947, to Dale and Betty Yaney. Roberta grew up in Portland, Indiana.. She met the love of her life Steve Engle while they were in High School in Indiana. They married on May25,1968. That began 58 years of deep love, laughter and partnership.

Roberta is survived by her devoted husband Steve, son Todd & wife Mandy, grandchildren Aby Jo & Corban, sister Carolyn LeMaster & husband Dan. Their sons Chad & wife Becky, Sean & wife Lindsey and extended families.

Roberta was employed 30 years with Delta Airlines in the General Offices and worked in accounting and Marketing there. She loved her work and fellow employees there.

She brought laughter and generosity into the lives of everyone who knew her. Outside of her career and family, Roberta loved early morning walks, traveling with friends and family especially to Hawaii, Vegas, and Florida! Also square dancing, camping and most of all playing card games with her friends, later in Del Webb’s Sun City. She will be remembered for her ability to help others learn to play cards and enjoy the game.

A Celebration of Life Memorial gathering will be held at a later date. Though deeply missed Roberta's love remains with her family and friends in every story, lesson, and quiet act of kindness she left behind.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Jan’s memory to the American Parkinson Disease Association.
